Celebrating Día de los Muertos with Nike Dunk Low and Jordan 1 High Zoom CMFT 2
Día de los Muertos, also known as Day of the Dead, is a cherished Mexican holiday that honors and commemorates the lives of those who have departed. Nike, known for its cultural tributes, has once again taken inspiration from this meaningful celebration. In this article, we'll explore two unique sneaker collections dedicated to Día de los Muertos: the Nike Dunk Low and the Air Jordan 1 High Zoom CMFT 2.

Nike Dunk Low Día De Los Muertos (W)
Nike's Día de los Muertos collection features an exclusive women's sneaker, the Nike Dunk Low. Crafted with a blend of exquisite materials including faux reptile skin, supple suede, textured leather, and nylon, this sneaker radiates elegance and meticulous craftsmanship.

New design elements and details
The shoe is adorned with glistening gold accents on the toebox, quarter panel, and collar, adding a touch of luxury. Faded gold faux reptile skin on the mudguard and eyestays contrasts beautifully with cream laces and a rich black tongue. A standout feature is the detailed embroidered hummingbird on the textured leather heel overlay, a symbol of great significance in Día de los Muertos celebrations. The insole pays homage to the holiday with Nike's Familia logo on the left and the hummingbird on the right. Top wrap it all upm the Dunk's midsole is paried with a durable gum rubber outsole.

Air Jordan 1 High Zoom CMFT 2 Día De Muertos:
Jordan Brand also joins the celebration with the Air Jordan 1 High Zoom CMFT 2, showcasing a darker color palette compared to other Nike Familia releases. This sneaker features intricate floral patterns on the toebox and quarter panel, set against a backdrop of black and silver. The "worn-away" effect on areas like the mudguard, eyestays, collar, and Swoosh adds character. Purple accents on the black tongue draw inspiration from the vibrant costumes of Día de los Muertos parades. Gold embroidery on the lateral side adds a touch of luxury, seamlessly integrating with the holiday theme. Finally, a gradient midsole transitions beautifully from black to white towards the rear, accentuated by contrasting white stitches. The look is completed by a matching rubber outsole.

Release details and retail pricing
The Nike Dunk Low Día De Muertos will release exclusively in women's sizing with a retail pricing of $125. Whereas the Air Jordan 1 High Zoom CMFT 2 Día De Muertos will come in men's sizing and will retail at $165. Although the Air Jordan 1 High Zoom CMFT 2 already made it's overseas debut on October 1st, it will release alongside the Dunk Low (W) in North America on October 21st on the Nike SNKRS app and select retailers.
