Naruto x Crocs collaboration is expanding the Animeverse to footwear
The recently unveiled Naruto x Asics Gel-NYC collab isn't the only footwear project inspired by the anime franchise's Naruto: Shippuden series in 2024. Official product images reveal that the Japanese manga will soon serve as the theme for a new duo of Crocs Clog collaborations. Well who are the two characters that are featured for this first collaboration? Here is the breakdown and what we know so far of this exciting upcoming work between one of the most famous anime/manga and Crocs.
A sneek peak for the upcoming Naruto x Crocs Clog collaboration
Following leaked images earlier this week, official backend photos of the upcoming Naruto x Crocs collab have emerged. The collaboration features two colorways—a vibrant orange reminiscent of main character Naruto Uzumaki and a cool green representing his teacher, Kakashi Hatake. It is unknown if Crocs has more classic clogs to represent other important characters from the show, but it is apparent that they have the opportunity to expand their showcase in the future.
Anime-inspired details and breaking down each design and detail
Each pair is adorned with numerous details inspired by the show, including themed Jibbitz, metallic silver plating, and puffy, quilted heel straps. Lets break it down for each jibbitz and their significance to the character. For the jibbitz that come with Naruto we see there are many tied to his character and what makes Uzumaki Naruto. There are two jibbitz that feature Naurto himself, one which is smiling and the other which is him initiating the famous Shadow Clone jitsu. Next we see the infamous Nine Tails Beast Kurama in the Chakara form. We do also see Naruto's all time favorite go to Miso Ramen that he always indugled in at Ichiraku Ramen. Lastly, we see the choice weapons that Naruto grew up training and using which are the Shuriken and Kunai. On the top of the clog we see the Hidden Leaf Village headband. Moving onto Naruto's sensi Kakahsi, the jibbitz that are included show a lot about his character also. One of the jibbitz features Kakashi himself, but another one shows off a mask he wore when he was part of the ANBU task force in his younger years. There of course are two of the same jibbitz that Naruto has which are the Shuriken and Kunai. The last jibbitz is sort of an easter egg because it represents the comedic side of Kakashi that we barely see. This jibbitz is the Icha Icha Violence book which is one of the series of adult novels written by Jiraiya sensei. Lastly, the Hidden Village headband tops the clog, while Kakashi's vest pockets adorn the strap.
Anticipation arises for the release details and date
Despite the release of a full batch of official images, Crocs has yet to confirm the collaboration officially. However, as fans eagerly await the expected release of this exciting collaboration in the near future we can expect a few things for this release. The drop will most likely be on the Crocs official website, and a few Croc's retail stores, and the retail price of the clog will probably be $55. Although these details aren't 100% sure, as we draw closer to the release dates, we will be able to verify as more release details emerge.
