New line up of Nike Kobe's set to release
With Mamba Day approaching this month, Nike made an announcement last month that it plans to relaunch the Kobe brand. With this announcement, Nike revealed some of the upcoming Nike Kobe models they plan to release this year and the following year in 2024. So far, these are the Kobe sneakers expected to be released, with more on the way. We will likely receive more news on Kobe Day, which is August 24th.
Starting off with the Kobe releases in 2023 is the Kobe 8 Protro Triple White. It was announced a couple of months ago that the Kobe 8 would be making a return. It has been 7 years since its last debut, and this time the Kobe 8 Protro will come in a triple white colorway. The sneaker materials will contain a mesh upper and pebble-grain leather overlays. At the heel of the sneaker, there will be the Zoom Air bag technology. The Kobe Protro 8 Triple White will release on Mamba Day, August 24th, for a retail price of $180.

Next is the Kobe 6 Reverse Grinch. The name of the sneaker speaks for itself, as it is exactly a reversal of the famous Kobe Grinch. Instead of an all-over green color with red laces, the sneaker will come in an all-over red color with green laces. The materials used will be identical to the Kobe Grinch as well. The Kobe 6 Reverse Grinch will release on December 16th for a retail price of $180.

Starting in Summer 2024, there will be a number of classic Kobe models that will receive the retro treatment. Firstly, the Kobe 4 Protro Philly, which was inspired by Kobe's connection to Philadelphia, will make a return since it first debuted in 2009. Kobe Bryant played basketball and graduated from Lower Merion High School, which is in the mainline suburbs of Philadelphia. There are no pictures of the new pair, but @zsneakerheadz revealed that this patriotic-styled sneaker will make a comeback next summer in 2024 with a retail price of $180.

Another Kobe retro set to make a return in summer 2024 is the Kobe 6 Protro Italian Camo. Coming in a slightly new variation of shades from the previous release in June 2011, the new pair will feature a different camo design with the same color scheme of crimson, black, white, and khaki. This sneaker draws inspiration from Italian military uniforms and his former home country of Italy. The retail price for this pair is also set at $180.

The Kobe 8 Protro Venice Beach is set to make its return after it initially debuted in 2013. Venice Beach is about 16 miles away from the Crypto.com Arena, formerly known as the Staples Center, where Kobe Bryant used to play. This pair brings out the summer vibes with its vibrant red, yellow, teal, and silver colors. The retro pair set to release in 2024 will retail at $180 and is expected to return with the same colorway treatment.

Last but not least, making its return next summer is the Air Force 1 Low Kobe Bryant. This pair first released only as a GS exclusive. Adorning all the LA Lakers colors in Varsity Maize, Varsity Purple, and White, this pair features an embroidered signature Kobe Bryant logo on the heel area. The new pair is expected to come dressed in the same colorblocking, but this time, it will feature both Kobe Bryant's signature logo and jersey number on the lateral sides and tongues. No word yet on the cost of the pair, but expect to see an elevated price compared to the normal $110 Air Force 1 retail price.
