UPDATE: 3/07/24

Originally scheduled for release on March 7th, the highly anticipated Nike Dunk Low Co. JP Plum faced an unexpected delay when it failed to appear on the SNKRS app as planned. Consequently, the release date was rescheduled, and for those who are wanting to grab a pair can now mark their calendars for March 21st. Priced at $115, which is slightly above the original retail price, this beloved pair from the Ugly Duckling Pack will be available on the SNKRS app and also at select retailers.

The Nike Dunk Low CO.JP "Plum" returns in spring 2024

In 2020, a rare sneaker made its debut in the United States, and now it's coming back in spring 2024. The Nike Dunk Low CO.JP "Plum" has a unique history that spans back to 2001 when it first emerged as part of an exclusive series released only in Japanese Nike stores. This series, playfully named the "Ugly Duckling" pack, introduced distinct colorways that quickly became highly sought-after treasures in the world of sneakers.

Distinctive purple hues

The "Plum" Dunk Low stands out with its rich blend of purple shades that cover the premium suede upper. These hues are reminiscent of the juicy and vibrant colors of ripe plums. Adding a striking contrast to the deep purple is a lively red Swoosh and other captivating details that catch the eye. While this design maintains the classic Dunk roots, featuring Nike's timeless branding on the heel and the iconic perforated toe box, it also exudes a sense of uniqueness.

A proper sense of color balance in the midsole

To create a sense of balance and add a touch of simplicity to the mix, the "Plum" Dunk Low incorporates a clean, white midsole. This not only provides a visual break between the vibrant upper and the matching red outsole but also ensures that the plum and red hues remain impactful. The "Plum" Dunk Low's design pays homage to its "Ugly Duckling" origins, where beauty was found in the unconventional.
